Can We Adapt Old Power Plants to Run on Green Hydrogen?
An Australian lab has invented a catalyst that in the presence of hydrogen and oxygen glows red-hot at 700 C. That’s enough heat for food manufacturer, Mars, to purchase for a pilot project and more than enough to drive a steam turbine giving energy utility companies an option to convert old power station equipment to run using green hydrogen.
